Gnarls Barkley at the Grammys

If you haven't seen Gnarls Barkley's performance of Crazy at the Grammys watch it right now.  Damn Cee-lo has some pipes on him.  The slow version of the song is really powerful and gives it a whole different feel, and the marching band styles drums work really well. 

My friend Jon pointed out that performing an alternate version of your hit song takes some guts.  The Grammys by its nature is a corporate beast, rewarding band that are at least somewhat mainstream.  For a group like Gnarls Barkley who aren't well established in the main stream is shows some real guts to use an alternate version.  A more conservative group would have chosen to go with their tried and true hit.  Instead Ceelo and Dangermouse show a devotion to creativity by going with a slow version of their hit.  Bravo!

Also, Gnarls Barkley always rocks the coolest outfits.  Ceelo was looking pimp at the Grammys
