Afro Samurai
If you haven't seen Afro Samurai you should go see it right now. Buy it, torrent it, whatever. Its a pretty cool anime about, you guessed it, a black samurai. The really unique thing about the series is the atmosphere. It uses themes pulled from black culture like an villain who delivers his lines in the style of a southern preacher. The best part the soundtrack which is produced by RZA and includes Talib Kweli, Qtip, and Big Daddy Kane to name a few. Check out the shows intro.
RZA's dirty beats compliment the atmosphere of the show perfectly. Its little things like how when the Afro Samurai goes into a bar RZA's songs are playing over the radio, or how during a fight scene involving Afro's dad RZA instramental is in the style of deep funk.
The song featuring Q-tip is also hot.
